15. Festival of Lights RETURNS

The anniversary edition of Light.Move.Festival. marks a a symbolic return

Return to the three-day format of the Festival and a return to places important to the identity of Łódź. During these days we will discover the industrial, textile and multicultural heritage of Łódź. Also, we will return to the starting point of this artistic initiative – the post-industrial architecture of the city.  The buildings will once again serve as a canvas for telling fleeting and beautiful stories. Their facades, reminiscent of the times of Łódź’s industrialists, will once again feature images telling stories about people, architecture, and the dynamic changes in the city. Large-format projections will remind us of the multicultural character of Łódź, but most importantly, they will use color and light to highlight the uniqueness of the city’s eclectic and stunning architecture.

Three days of light – a return to the full festival format

Light.Move.Festival. 2025 returns to its three-day format. From September 26 to 28, residents and tourists will once again be able to enjoy three evenings surrounded by architecture, art, and music in a light-filled setting. The three-day festival also means more opportunities for walks, conversations, and reflection, as well as getting to know a city that is undergoing intense change and revitalization of its historic spaces.

The Liberty Square returns

We are returning with a light festival and large-format projections to Plac Wolności. This time, it will be a spectacular venue for 360-degree projections simultaneously on 12 buildings surrounding the square. A Hungarian group of artists creates images, searching for a distinct language of expression based on avant-garde art motifs.

Additionally, to emphasize the character of the square, the whole will be enriched by a large-scale spatial installation by Polish artist Jarosław Koziara and piano music performed by Lena Ledoff, a pianist and jazz composer who draws on the music of Fryderyk Chopin and Krzysztof Komeda in her work.

During the anniversary edition of Light.Move.Festival, Plac Wolności will become a space full of magic and imagination, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the world of art offering panoramic, artistic views. We invite everyone who wants to discover the world of light art in the metropolitan, friendly space of the revitalized square.
