Videomapping on Sienkiewicza St.

After a few years’ break, Light.Move.Festival. returns to one of the festival’s most popular locations – the facade of the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross at 38 Sienkiewicza Street.

Every year, 2D/3D videomappings are extremely popular at the festival. Festival-goers admire the extraordinary images that highlight the architecture of historic buildings, presenting them in a new, colorful light.

The first location for 2D/3D mapping revealed by the Lux Pro Monumentis Foundation, the festival organizer, is the historic Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross at 38 Sienkiewicza Street.  “This is one of the most popular festival locations, which is returning to the Light.Move.Festival map,” admits Beata Konieczniak, artistic director of the light festival. The facade of the church will feature a 2D/3D mapping entitled “Twist” by renowned visual artist Sławomir Fąfara. “Twist” is a visual journey from mathematical order to an organic explosion of forms inspired by nature. It tells the story of the evolution of forms – from pure, geometric solids to living, pulsating architecture inspired by the natural world.

Fąfara is known for his passion for combining precision with emotion – his works are characterized not only by technical perfection, but also by their ability to evoke deep emotions in viewers. “Twist” will be no exception – we will see a spectacle of light, movement, and forms that will redefine the perception of the facade familiar to the residents of Łódź, says the artistic director of Light.Move.Festival.

The mapping will be available for viewing during the 15th edition of LMF on September 26-28, 2025, between 7:00 p.m. and midnight.
